Received yesterday for my '13 Chevy Silverado. I put it on and rode about 30km today. Neither the display "Check Engine" nor other problems were noticed. To unlock, insert the key and turn counterclockwise 1/4 turn. The key can only be removed by turning it 1/4 turn to the right. I've noticed that you can do this and the lid will unlock regardless of whether it's removed immediately or not. When replacing the cover, be sure to turn it clockwise until it clicks a few times to reset the latch. I tried reinstalling it and just clicked it once and found that it can still be opened. Once the cap was locked I tried pulling it up and also pushing it in and it kept spinning freely so I think it would be a good deterrent for all but the most determined poor.
