The donut is much better than the cone of shame. With that said -- my two 10 month old female doodles refused to wear the collar even after acclimating them to the idea and going through the training process prior to their surgery. Once I brought them home from getting spayed and put the collar on them they started struggling and trying to get the donut off. After watching them struggle for two hours I couldn't risk an injury due to their unhappiness. Switched them into Suitical Onesies body suits and they settled right down and went to sleep.
