I love buying used clothes but over the years I've become chemically sensitive and the detergent/fabric softener industry is becoming more and more ridiculous for the intense fragrances and binding agents they use. I've tried all the tricks I could find on the internet, but nothing particularly worked with Tide. To Odorklenz. Follow the instructions carefully and just to be safe, I put the washing machine (top load) on super/intensive (washing for 18 minutes), added detergent and odorklenz while the tub was filled with water as directed, and left it then mix with all clothes for about 5 minutes, then stop the program for more than 20 minutes to give it more time to act and then start again to complete the wash cycle, including an additional rinse cycle. Do not make the load too large, the product should be able to pass freely between all the clothes. I have found that spandex items retain scent even better than other fabrics and some of these items required two treatments as I just described but it worked. It worked! Perfume, Smoke, Tide, Bounce, Arm&Hammer and all the other awful smelling detergents that challenge our busy livers. And it didn't hurt my 100% cashmere sweater. I am so grateful! And when you consider that Odorklenz is also environmentally friendly! I don't know how they did it, but it's nice to see nature win this time! I am so excited to have found this product!
