Works but model photo is a bit misleading. The waves are very thin due to the thickness of the trunks. My daughter really likes it and it works on her hair, but it didn't have much of an effect on my other daughters' hair. And it doesn't last long, but it may depend on the hair. It generally works, but I made the barrels a bit smaller so the waves are more defined.
