Windows software is not mature. Another story is if you're running Hackintosh with Apple Fusion software, but you don't need that card to do it. I ran a series of tests to verify the manufacturer's claims and its usefulness. For example load time, application load time, file copy, file archive extraction (decompression) and standard read/write tests. Testing was done with Windows 10 on an i7 5960x running an MSI X99A with a 1TB HDD and a 32GB MSata SSD. During my tests, I also encountered a blue screen caused by the hybrid card's software driver, which annoyed me a lot. BEFORE AFTER Boot Time 50s 17s (Note: it took 2 reboots before improvements were noticeable). Application Download 2s 1.9s (no change) 100MB Read/Write 87MB/s 340MB/s (BETTER) ZIP Extraction 100MB/s 70MB/s (WORSE) File Copy 85MB/s 85MB/ s (no change) In short, other than boot time and file read time, I really don't see any significant improvement over a regular hard drive. Of course, these are small improvements, but they're not significant enough to justify the map.
