The beginning is missing.

The very first scene is missing in this movie! No flying seagulls, no swimming dolphins, no Erica on a ship with her people. It skips that whole part and starts with a fish swimming in the ocean. I thought I was going crazy and had to prove to my husband that I missed the beginning of the movie! Otherwise the same old mermaid!

Pros

The full color palette is Disney's signature palette and really stands out at 1080p. However, it doesn't come across as overly digitized like Disney sometimes does. It looks classic. Soft where it should be and very sharp when it should be. I've seen this movie probably 100 times but I can honestly say that watching it in Full HD was like watching it for the first time again. Without HD you have no idea how much ART went into the film. Some of the backgrounds literally took my breath away.
