Definitely better than I expected compared to other closet bumpers I've used. Cabinets don't make the kind of rattle that comes from traditional bumpers. The design absorbs the impact of the cabinets on the wooden frame. I ordered this product as it had 200 pieces which was a lot more than other products of this type. I ended up replacing all the old bumpers (even the ones I installed last month) because it is the best product. I also used it on the bottom of the gate I have for my dog to catch as he could move it around without grabbing. But not anymore. Definitely recommend buying a bumper.
