I had a large metal version that didn't work even twice. This works fine. I've used it several times in many ways, removing rocks and even a vent pipe that was blocked by a small animal's nest. drill to get it back quickly. I've seen some reviews say it's heavy, but I'm 58 and managed to use it while standing on stairs. Of course there is a certain weight. It's a steel cable. Much cheaper than plumbing and seems to work well for smaller jobs.
