I've only had it for a week and in that time I've put it to good use. They take a bit of getting used to as the invisible barrier seems wider than I expected. I was imagining a distinct thin line, but instead it appears about 6 inches (up to 8 inches) closer than where it should be based on the direction it's pointing. So it's not really a "set and forget" process, I have to watch it for a while and make the necessary adjustments. Also, twice one of the units itself decided it was set as a radius barrier instead of a straight line, even though I had explicitly set the switch to the straight line position. When this happened I just flipped the switch to the radius position and then back to the straight line and the problem was gone. Again, not really "set and forget". But for the most part, they're really great. They are small enough that I can move them out of the way without my husband accidentally disturbing them. They all seem to reach 10 feet as advertised, which is perfect for my needs. It's worth noting that each of them uses two AA batteries. Batteries are included, and they are not cheap nameless batteries, they are genuine Duracell (Coppertop) batteries! I was impressed.
