Great trolling motor and mount for the money

After reading some of the reviews I didn't know what to expect. The mount that others have complained about isn't that bad. Having multiple kayaks, I was able to easily switch between bindings before deciding which ones it works best with. Now I plan to order the 2nd and 3rd motors with a mounting kit. Yes, it seems weak, but it gets the job done. I had no problems with that. It holds up well on my 12 foot pedscador and propels the boat forward at a top speed of 4.5 mph. Which battery to use was a big problem. I knew I needed a marine battery. Lithium ideally costs more than my kayak. I chose the Mighty Max 12 35ah mainly because of the weight, I think it weighs around 18lbs and other marine batteries weigh 35+. It was more than I wanted to take away. After trying it out, I found that I typically had 60-70 percent battery life after switching between low-speed trolling and high-speed cruising to a fishing spot a mile from my dock. Normally I don't fish longer than 3 hours. I'll probably order a second battery to see how far I can get before the battery dies. (I've found it to be fully charged at 60-70 percent in an hour or less. Back to the Watersnake trolling motor. The motor mount combo is hard to beat. The fact that I can use it in salt water if I want to makes the choice even more More is obvious.
