I bought an original tripod which, as many before me have complained about, the bolt broke. Luckily, I caught my Zhiyun V2 ($650), Lumix G7 ($500), and $350 Rokinon 10mm cinema lens in mid-air before it all crashed into the dirt I was standing in. I read some reviews and found that Pergear will replace broken original tripods with an improved version with a stronger screw for FREE. I contacted Pergear (cs@pergear.com) and shared my plight with them. They responded immediately and sent a replacement without question. I was lucky enough to use needle nose pliers to remove the broken threads on the original tripod screw that was stuck in the handle of my Zhiyun faucet, and the replacement tripod fitted just fine. Thank you Pergear! In the following I refer to the tripod as a light appendage and not as an extension of the crane handle. All the support is on the Zhiyun handle, the tripod is only for vertical support and help to balance the crane. This product is recommended, just do not use it as part of a faucet handle. It is not intended for the transfer of goods. It's great for balancing the weight of a loaded crane with more support on the crane handle. A tripod is great for stabilizing the camera and gimbal while balancing, taking a break from lugging gear while shooting, or as a stable platform for shooting. The Pergear and this tripod are recommended, just use the gear for what it's designed for. Light loads and a stable platform with legs outstretched. Thank you!
