Review on πŸ’§ Woder 10K DC Capacity Connect Filtration: Powerful Water Filtration for Optimal Purification by Chris Byers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

There were some concerns, but support was quick.

No problems with the installation (3/8" connections) but when I turned the water on the black carbon wouldn't activate. I was concerned that Revain might be selling me a bad/used water filter so I called Woder and left a voicemail message describing my problem. If you look at the online video it clearly shows the black coal release. I got a call back within 10 minutes. Steven , the rep for Woder or the manufacturer. He explained to me that during production, early batches of the filters have finer activated carbon dust, which causes the water to turn black when activated. In some filters, the activated carbon does not activate black. He says, that they are working to update the online video to reflect this has at least 3 more minutes to skip and it will be one in 10 days reach the fully activated state. When I asked if there was a chance I was being sold to use remanufactured filters, he told me that all returns usually come with the correct tubing size/installation incompatibility. All returns are sent to the factory where they are restored to the original specifications. He also told me that the filter was made by Clearbrook and that the Woder 10k was their first home use filter. The filter is actually rated for 5 years / 10,000 gallons, but they chose to be conservative with a 3 year rating. If you do the math, that's about using 10 gallons of tap water a day for 3 years. If you use less you may be able to reach the 5 year mark without changing the filter. Good to know! Long story short, I had some early concerns, but the support team was quick to respond to my questions/concerns. He seemed quite sincere so I don't think they are trying to scam the customers. It's been about 7 days since I installed the filter and the water tastes cleaner and smells better. so it seems to be working fine
