What a mess! This filter failed and flooded my kitchen, living room and part of my basement. Luckily I was home when it happened otherwise it would have been a total disaster! The top of the plastic filter has detached from the filter housing allowing water to flow until I notice it. Maybe this was an isolated case of a defective filter, maybe not. I know I won't play with those filters again! I'm still assessing the damage done to my home.

I put one in and the flow has dropped quite a bit despite the high water pressure on the faucet. I haven't measured it, but wouldn't be surprised if that's the advertised speed. It's also attached to the special faucet on my sink, so I don't use it to wash dishes, just fill containers with drinking water and rinse fruits and vegetables. This is my second one. The first lasted 25 months. Flow was limited to approximately 1 gallon per minute. The water still tasted good and even at the end of its life there was still enough pressure to wash dishes etc, especially when mixed with hot water.
