First, an important disclaimer: These are *not* Bose speakers. Yes, they do have a passing resemblance to Bose, but I knew that nothing in the sub-$100 price range could match the performance of a true Bose system. More importantly, it's *only* the dynamics; They don't come with an amplifier. Also, the subwoofer isn't powered either; it works passively in concert with the front left and right channels. So you'll need to buy an amplifier separately (or pair it with your existing amp), ideally a 5.1 channel surround amp with around 100 watts of peak power per channel. , these are actually very good speakers for the price. They served as my home theater speakers for a while after my old speakers failed, and will continue to serve as a secondary system elsewhere (likely to complement my gaming PC) after I bring a *true* Bose system to my home added theatre.
