Review on MikroTik Dual-Concurrent Access Point: hAP ac Lite RB952Ui-5ac2nD-US by Buana Bono ᠌

One of the best deals, glad I bought this.

I am not a very advanced user in network settings, but I regret that I did not pay attention to the MikroTik brand and their router models before. This is a bomb"! Completely different level to the plus side. You will have such opportunities to work with the network, you will be so captured by RouterOS that you will not let go! Probably it will sound funny, but I bought this model to work with the Huawei E3276 modem (Megaphone M150-1). Where I live, there is no local network. However, this does not push the capabilities of the RB952Ui-5ac2nD. Before that, I used ZyXEL Keenetic 4G II. But then the moment came that Keenetic 4G II clearly began to “fail”. No, he didn't break. It was not enough for stable work. Quite by accident I noticed the MikroTik brand. Bought a "dark horse" for myself. Didn't know if my modem would work, what kind of router? I read tests and reviews about RB952Ui-5ac2nD, decided to “take a chance”, and did not regret it! Don't be intimidated by the complexity of the setup. There are very, very many interesting and useful articles on the net on how to configure RouterOS. I was practically a "teapot" when I first saw the RouterOS interface. Started from scratch, spent 4 days, and everything went like clockwork! Learned a lot for myself! I was attracted by the possibilities of settings, and RouterOS itself! Who buys will not regret! Naturally, if the person himself wants to touch the knowledge and study of RouterOS. Some complexity of setting for the average user cannot be called a disadvantage of the router. You will then understand what a beautiful model was in your hands. My E3276 modem (unlocked) works great with RB952Ui-5ac2nD. The reception of the 3G signal has become much more stable, there are fewer failures and rallies. Not a bit sorry about the purchase! And let's just say, “ordinary” routers have receded into the “background” for me))).

Pros
  • Excellent router, very flexible and wide settings. Two WiFi bands 2.4 and 5 GHz can work simultaneously. Support for many models of 3G/4G modems. Compact size, with a powerful processor Atheros QCA9531, 650 MHz. RouterOS License L4, with the ability to connect up to 200 users. A small price to pay for the richest networking capabilities. No protruding antennas.
Cons
  • It would be possible to make the On / Off button, but the designers know better.
