Cruise ship cabin walls and doors are made of steel (with the exception of some closet dividers). Since storage space is limited, I saw several recommendations to get magnets like this for hanging things on the walls and doors. These worked perfectly! Very strong- held up my wife's purses and totes, as well as hats and a shoe organizer we used for additional storage on the bathroom door.Just be careful with them- keep the little plastic washers they put between them to use for storage, and watch your fingers! These aren't little kids bulletin board magnets- they are seriously strong. I just put the washers on the base of the hooks when they were used for hanging so we wouldn't use them. I'll probably buy more for our next cruise- they were that useful.The hook unscrews, so you could buy screws to use these to hang up other things, or maybe add clips or eye hooks to them. You can also take the hooks off to make them a bit more compact for storage/transport.
