I've had a set of Lanskey Stones for almost thirty years and love them for small hunting knives and leather goods. But Lanskey is not the best option for large kitchen knives. I've read a lot about Japanese wet rocks and decided this is the approach I want to take. I have to say that I am very satisfied with the results. They work well for my kitchen knives. I have combined this with a nice leather belt and together my kitchen knives are very sharp. Now I even sharpen knives for my family.
