The banana plugs on these wires are not standard 4mm diameter banana plugs. they are smaller I noticed that straight away, as I've been a technician for 35 years. So I tried them on my Fluke 87 DMM and they didn't even come close. TIP: You can take a small screwdriver and stick it under each of the outer blades and pry the blades off the center pin of the banana fork so they fit snugly, but I don't think it helps in this case. Difference.
