Bought these glasses for sunglasses, eye protection and side protection combined with cord. The side guards do not stay in place. The article says the side guards are removable and it's true. That doesn't mean the side shields won't stay on the sides at all. The shoelace is hooked on the eyelet on the side panels, pulling them together, and the hooks that are supposed to attach the side panels to the frame of the glasses are ineffective, useless. Medicine, adhesive second protection on the frame. Problem solved. For example, I didn't want removable side shields. I wanted permanently attached safety sides. Should have read more. Glasses work like any other glasses.
