A well priced 500w rear e-bike kit. I'd recommend a "triangle" bike bag to hide the wires, controller, and battery. It might be smart for them to provide instructions via PDF to allow for folks to zoom in a bit but its a pretty simple install after watching a few youtube videos on other e-bike kit installs. I didn't set it up for pedal assist (skipped the pedal sensor/ hall effect sensor as I couldn't get my crank arm removed) and I enjoyed the twist throttle. As the Trek "donor" bike had integrated shifters/brakes, I had to order and install a separate 3x7 shifter setup for $10 or so in order to use the kit's brakes (they have a sensor inside to stop the motor when braking). For those not comfortable doing a bit of bike modification (scissor jack expansion of the rear triangle to fit the motor, extra washers/mods to keep the chain off the frame, etc), then there are excellent "turn key" e-bikes starting at around $600 and up. Now to figure out how to wire a headlight and brake light into the system so I don't have to charge those separately on my new e-bike commuter.
