I saw these lights in a relative's garden in London where there isn't much sunlight. I don't know what brand they were but they bought them for about the same price as this one. In such weather, even on a cloudy day, the light stays on after dark for at least 5-6 hours, and much longer on a sunny day. I use them in sunny California and was hoping the lights would stay on all night. 5 of them stayed when I first took them out of the box (before first sun exposure), about 2 hours and then about an hour or less. One of them lasted 6-7 hours on first use, but only lasted 2-3 hours after the first day of sun exposure. They are either broken or of poor quality. I wouldn't buy them if I knew the battery life is only an hour.
