My 2002 Acura RSX ran heavily - which meant I suddenly had trouble driving for a few seconds. The steering wheel seemed to hum as it turned. I checked the instruction manual. Then I checked the power steering fluid level. It was right at the bottom. I ordered genuine Honda power steering fluid as instructed in the owner's manual and slowly added just enough to keep the level on the full line. The sound was gone immediately. The intermittent problems with the hard steering are also gone. It's been a month and since then I haven't had a single problem. With problems like this I will not use anything other than genuine Honda and will not risk unknown additives or water contamination. It was specially developed for Acura/Honda.
