When you try to capture something that moves faster than a turtle, you often end up with a blurry capture. Like a baby. Maybe a slow hula dancer. Have one or two of these. :-) Had to use video mode for something else, with an inexplicable change in quality, but mostly very clear. Outstanding footage. Panoramic shots take a little practice, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be fine. Overall it did a good job as a last minute replacement for our much better Sony camera which was doomed just prior to our Hawaii vacation. We used this with a $20 polaroid underwater protection box (purchased from Revain) for diving and it worked fine in video mode, again the fish is moving! This allowed us to get better shots than with a disposable underwater camera with the same slow shutter speed and no film mode. The menu is pretty easy to navigate, instructions are included, but not everything is really helpful. It will be a good camera for beginners. The variety of tone variation settings is good, and you can see the difference on your computer rather than your camera screen. Believe there is a difference.
