Purchased to adapt my Nagoya antennas to easily detach from my Baofeng radio. So far it's working as advertised and I can't see any loss of signal. Make the antenna a little higher and you lose the partial gasket that comes from the factory or Nagoya if they were bolted directly to the radio. I can live with that as I can easily change the antenna. I will be buying more than spares but after a few months of use I don't see them failing anytime soon. unless someone develops a more compact version. I would like to see the same configuration with the SMA closed so that the base of the antenna is a bit stronger. Dislikes: Potentially heavy loading on the antenna connector (SMA), but so far this hasn't been an issue.
