I have an M3R Brompton which I use for commuting. I need to get to the train station (1.5 miles), catch a train into town and then drive 4 miles to work. I unfold it several times a day (from home, to the train, from the train, to work, from work, to the train, from the train, home). Part of my travel time consists of going about 1 block down the platform and through the Chicago Board of Trade to the St. Due to the crowds and using the escalator, I keep my bike folded until I reach street level. The original wheels worked well but after a few years of use on these rides they wore out. I was also frustrated that the bike was clumsy as I rode through the crowd. So I switched to these wheels plus extension. The only problem is that the extension works for me from the "wrong" end of the bike rack. This works when the bike is in "shopping cart" mode, the handlebars are up and the bike is being pushed. So I don't have to use it - as little as possible, drag behind/beside me, pull with fingers in a small grip area on the seat. That doesn't really bother me as I still occasionally use the bike in shopping cart mode and the extension definitely stabilizes the bike. However, it was clear that the wheels I needed were not part of my original replacement purchase. They match the pair I received with the extension. These are attractive wheels that look better than the original lightweight Brompton wheels. They are also lighter. NOW my bike rolls great when fully folded. The wheels are slightly boxy compared to the rounder profile of the lightweight wheels. That little extra property really makes a difference. I also like that the wheels are now fully aligned. They were easy to change out with my Park Tools MTB-3 rescue tool, which has both hex and box wrenches. A box wrench is very handy to hold the nut when you unscrew (and then install) the wheels. Tip: Both Aceoffix and Brompton Easy Wheels have some side play. This can be secured by adding washers to the mounting bolt. The wheels don't come with washers, so you'll need to buy them separately or find them in the garage. I used one inside and one outside the Aceoffiix wheels to keep them from wobbling at all. Another tip: Do not tighten too much, otherwise you will block the freewheeling game. This also applies to Brompton Easy Wheels. EDIT on 3/23/21. I've been using them regularly for a few months now. I have a problem. and with only one wheel, so maybe a defective wheel? On two separate occasions the rubber cracked over the rim causing the bike to roll right on the rim itself. The second time it happened was when I rolled it down the hotel's carpeted corridor. I think the tire rolled off when I made the turn. It happened the first time, I don't know why. I noticed the wheel making a strange noise, looked down and saw the aluminum rim scraping across the tiled floor as it worked. Both times I was able to stop, turn the folded bike over and change the tires to try and fit it properly. Fingers crossed that this doesn't happen regularly. I'm thinking of adding an E6000 and gluing it on.
