I have a 4 pound Biewer Terrier. It fits her quite well and that is saying a lot as I have already returned 4 different life jackets due to the poor fit. I bought XS. It's a little tight around her tummy (she's not overweight), but a small size would be a bit too big according to the chart. She can swim comfortably in it and effortlessly keeps her head above the water. The handle makes it easy to pick up from the pool or lake. For the price it was good enough for the use she would get from it.
