Like over two thousand Dewalt XRP owners I was looking for a sensible alternative to buying expensive new OEM batteries for my nearly 20 year old drill!. I've done some research and it seems like most of the options are essentially renaming the same battery. So I decided to contact the seller with the best customer service ratings in case I encounter any problems. I received the batteries in one day and used them for several days. They seem to perform well and are at least as powerful or even stronger than my 5 year old real Dewalt battery which I expected would die like its twin. Bought in a set of 2. Only time will tell how they hold up, but at this price point there's no point not trying these batteries out first before spending over a hundred dollars on a single OEM battery. I'm sure every old XRP Dewalt drill owner is afraid of spending a lot of money on an OEM battery and then just losing their drill! I'm sure if you were a pro you might think differently, but most pros have probably upgraded to newer models anyway simply because their tools wear out faster. I wonder how many of them are still using tools from 10 and 20 years ago? If you are a DIYer and have older XRP I would try these batteries. I will update my review if I change my mind about their work.
