Decent mop - some design flaws

This is a three star mop but I'm giving it four because it's decent and even a decent mop is hard to find these days. My biggest question reading the reviews was if the floor would get too wet. I read that someone said "striped". IT absolutely does not wet the floor or leave streaks. The mop sponge does a great job of leaving the floor as wet or dry as you like depending on the pressure you put on the mop head. It's obviously a sponge. So if you press hard enough you can leave water on the floor if you want, but with normal pressure it leaves as good an "almost dry floor" as you want. Depending on the angle of the sponge, this mop slips a bit when reversing, which I think is normal. I think most mop heads need precise technique if you want to avoid this. The size is good because although it's a little narrower than mops from decades past, it fits a regular round bucket quite snugly. This size doesn't seem to affect task size much either, so overall size is an advantage. My biggest criticism of this mop is the position of the release lever. I prefer the ring arm closer to the top of the squeegee. The wringing lever is positioned quite low, requiring the user to bend over the bucket to wring. In addition to the discomfort of back pain, there is also a greater risk of damaging clothing when using a cleaning product such as bleach because the mop and bucket are close to your torso when wringing them out. I don't want the mop telling me to wear special clothes and shower afterwards. I would have deducted three stars for that, but given the lack of competition I didn't. Second, this is more of a problem than a disadvantage, the plastic tab that holds the mop head is pretty flimsy. That aspect doesn't feel that solid to me, but as long as the mop stays clean. I swiped the 6x8 space about 10 times. Finally, the grip parts are screwed together, they will inevitably loosen and have to be tightened from time to time. Would I buy this again? Yes, but I'd happily leave it in favor of something halfway decent with a lever closer to the top.
