These lights are great! The Superflash taillight is the brightest on the market, but don't take my word for it. If you look at the taillight yourself, you will see around 150+ 5-star reviews on it. Also, local bike shops try to sell just the taillight for about $35, almost the same as this combo kit. The mounting options are also great. I like to attach it to either my backpack or saddlebag, but it comes with the necessary hardware to mount it directly to the seatpost or seatstays. The front light flashes well. It's also very bright. I've read some bad reviews about it, but it's mostly due to abuse. It has a REALLY narrow beam. This light set is designed to be used as "VISIBLE" rather than "SEEABLE" lights. It illuminates the road ahead of you quite well in low light conditions in my opinion, but if you're driving in total darkness away from streetlights you may need a proper headlight. find this for less than $50. UPDATE: June 22, 2011 Well over 2 years later and the lights are still on. I upgraded to a PlanetBike 2w Blaze 12/10 headlight but I still have the 1/2w as a backup. The Superflash rear light is NOT the brightest light on the market anymore, but it's still one of the favorites of avid cyclists. The only problem I had was that one of the contacts in the taillight was rusty. All I had to do was give him a small green washcloth and everything was fine again.
