Review on Kona Safe Clean Grill Scraper by Sung Shorunov

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Safer than bristles

I've tried pretty much every grill cleaner they make. They all seem to have pros and cons. Metal bristles work great and can be used on hot grills, but the very real risk of metal getting stuck in my throat made me abandon them (too many close calls). Plastic bristles work well but should not be used on a hot grill. The ones that look like hand washers work pretty well, but only 1 bar at a time, and they're too short to use on a hot grill without thermal gloves. So why not try this one? Here are the products: - Large, sturdy and well made - Easy to use - Seems to last a long time - Covers a large area of the grill grate - Good for loosening food from the surface of the grates - Can be used on a hot grill - no risk of metal splinters there. In general, this is a very good decision. I'll probably still use crumpled aluminum foil to give a thorough clean between the fins once the grill has cooled, but it's good enough for everyday use.

Pros
  • SUPERIOR CONSTRUCTION: Constructed of high density hardwood that's rot resistant to withstand, clean and outperform the grills they were bought for.
Cons
  • Hard to say
