This scraper really is something to show off. It works well and won't damage or wear out your grill, but the main thing for me is the lack of metal strands. No matter which steel bristle brush we use, the metal threads always break off. They get tired and quit. So we need to lightly brush a second time with a bristle brush - we don't need the metal threads in the food. If you don't know why, look it up. I've tried pretty much every grill cleaner they make. They all seem to have pros and cons. Metal bristles work great and can be used on hot grills, but the very real risk of metal getting stuck in my throat made me abandon them (too many close calls). Plastic bristles work well but should not be used on a hot grill.
