I ended up splitting the kit into 2 bikes - the standard mountain bike grips and the long handlebar grips that I use on my commuter bike. They also work great on butterfly and cruiser handlebars. They slipped right in and then dried in place. They are so tight on both bikes that I have to cut them off. No problem with the racing bar ends (which are Origin8 snap-on bar ends) as I don't have to remove them. However, those on a mountain bike may need to be removed to service the derailleurs and brake levers. However, it is too soft for a mountain bike. I think the feel is perfect for a cruiser. Durability is just a guess here, but these pens feel stiffer and sturdier than most foam pens.
