The urn was a useful kitchen utensil until I noticed what appeared to be limescale forming a few months after use. I cleaned the "scale" several times before finally deciding to disassemble the cover for a more thorough cleaning. To my horror and disgust I found what appeared to be plastic were pieces of decomposed rubber insulating rings that were starting to crumble from the constant heat exposure. Our whole family has been drinking pieces of plastic for the past few months. In other words, the thing goes straight into the garbage.
