Gone are the days of the hand grater for me. I tried a shallow cut and was very afraid of losing a finger or two. With this one I am not afraid of it because my hand/fingers are not near the blades during use. I have to be careful when cleaning the blades but it's easy enough since I soak them in the sink so it's easy for me and I don't have to rub. I like different blade options and have used several. Storage is easy and changing is not a problem for me. I wouldn't let my teenager change blades, but that's fine for an adult. The counter suction is perfect and nothing moves at all. It has been used many times in my kitchen and will continue to be used in the future.
