I wanted to put motion sensors around my chicken coop but there is no electricity nearby and the solar panel wasn't working because it's a shady place. Rechargeable flashlights were ideal. I put four lanterns on the outside of the chicken coop to keep predators away. I put two in the chicken coop. I use them to turn them on and set a 30 minute timer to encourage women to enter the stall. Once inside I close the door and the timer gives them some time to settle in before the lights go out. It works great! Our chicks are young and learning and it is very helpful to be able to have these lights on with a timer. The motion-detection lights are sensitive and bright, and I can see if something blew them up from my window indoors. They work great. All in all the perfect solution for our little girls growing up and learning to live outside.
