Bought to help with a 5 hour single drive this week with severe back spasms/tension and a strong desire not to use hard drugs. The heat keeps the back muscles relaxed enough to relieve pain and limit movement. It's really nice that not only could we go straight on holiday, but I was also able to drive both ways without painkillers, which also had the great benefit of limiting the time I had to 'think' about my back pain. Current product rating: Structure is ok. The cushioning is weak, but for me that was positive because I was able to keep a very high level of warmth right in the lower back. Massage just annoyed me but only included for the review. The electrical and 12-volt connections are standard, but the plugs fit securely into the power adapter - they won't wobble or fall out. Don't worry about durability or if it will ever work again - worked when it mattered most and is among the best $25 I've ever spent. If I ever go through this again and plan a family vacation I will buy this just to be prepared. For those with back issues, I found it most "comfortable" to be tilted up slightly about 2 inches above the driver's seat and pressing my lower back against the top third of the cushion. Edit: I love that this is my wife's sienna who has a bad lumbar spine. Supports and seats are not heated. I don't like it in a regular chair as the shape is a little awkward for my 6ft 2in height with the back reclined at almost a 90 degree angle. 5 stars for car use Update 09/03/2017: heating element dead (vibration works, but if you have back pain, especially nervous, why would you do that?) Between travel, work seats and also at home probably 300-350 hours element life. Not bad for a "cheap" loin warmer. And the pillow is still in great condition/keeps its shape. 5 stars saved. I got my money's worth and more as for the price it has survived what I thought it would (10-20 hours).
