This surge protector is worth every penny. This gives me peace of mind every time I plug in my RV. I especially like that it monitors the voltage in the network and turns off when the voltage exceeds the specified parameters. This protects air conditioners and household appliances. What I didn't particularly like was that the connections are located on the front panel. I would prefer to mount them on the back of the device. I was then able to mount the unit through a cutout in the panel to easily see the status lights while keeping the line connectors out of reach. My solution was to build a simple mount and place it behind the vent cover (see picture) where I could look through the cover and see the status lights before turning on the RV's master switch. Without this workaround, I would recommend purchasing a remote panel at an additional cost. The connection is easy, but you need knowledge in this area. Otherwise it is better to install it.
