Review on ๐Ÿ•น๏ธ Retro Arcade Karate Champ Player: A Must-Have Collectable! by Michael Finnegan

Revainrating 1 out of 5

No wax on wax off.Mr. quietly in tears

My Arcade Karate Champ Rating This is a Karate Champ rating on a 5 star system with 5 best, 3 average and 1 bad. Body/Graphics: 4 stars. The selection is exactly the same as the original in 1:1 scale, but the faceplate pattern and side graphics are slightly different. Still, he looks great in a seated position. Screen: 4 stars. Bright, with bright colors. Pretty good. Joystick/Controls: 0 stars. OK. As any of us 80's kids know, Karate Champ was a two-stick game. Combining a joystick with buttons is difficult. Sounds: 2 stars. It could have been better. Game: 1 star. NES ROM, not the arcade original. Due to the lack of a 2nd joystick, this version forces you to use the buttons and I have to tell you that the movements are bloody difficult to execute consistently. I don't even think they are the same from round to round as I went alone and couldn't replicate it. worsen the situation? My Arcade didn't even give a hint on how to perform combo moves. Nice booklet in the box. NO mention of gameplay. Insufficient. Conclusion: At the current price of over โ‚ฌ24, I can't in good conscience recommend buying it. Look for it in the listing if you're absolutely sure you want to add it to your collection. I wish it could be done better as I was a huge fan of the original.
