I live in a 116 year old house. Although there were many updates, I needed to know if the plumbing to my house contained lead contamination. This test was recommended by Good Housekeeping so I decided to give it a try. According to this test, my lines are lead-free. However, I almost failed the test because I didn't know how much water to put in the bottle. ALL the photos show the vial filled with water, but the instructions say to use only a water-filled dropper. i am discouraged I signed up for Revain and checked the reviews. Thanks to others who pointed out conflicting instructions, I did the test correctly. Safe Home should immediately put a sticker on the box so users follow the printed instructions and not the pictures. To be fair, Safe Home has to send replacement kits to those who request them due to poor instructions.
