At sixteen dollars at retail, they're twice the price of other brands I've tried. While I think they're made a little better and come with a decent holder, you're still paying more than I think is necessary. They work just like any other dryer ball I have. I got these because when the kids unload the dryer, they aren't careful enough lest the dryer balls roll out and end up in a dirty corner or kick up a big ball of dust. At this point they go into the washing machine before they can be used in the dryer again. They work well as long as you don't try to dry synthetics for too long. Whenever I use dryer balls they cut drying time in half and clothes look great with little to no static electricity. The main thing is not to overdry, as many of us have been doing for decades. It takes a little getting used to, but they saved my new dryer from "dryer stains" like my old one did. starts to slide off the inside of the dryer onto the thinner cotton making things like shirts look downright awful. d recommend shopping rather than collecting.
