I bought these casters to replace the rubber feet on a Peavey MC212 2x12 vertical cabinet. The cockpit is fairly compact for an upright 2x12, so 2β³ wheels seemed a good fit to me. As for the diameter of the wheels, I wanted to go on the smaller side so the cab is less likely to fall or roll away in the event of an impact, but I think I went too small so the wheels roll smoothly and the casters spin smoothly out of the box. A little marine grease should keep them in good condition. Installation is quick and easy. Rated at 70 pounds per roll, this kit will easily support most combo amps or even small cabinet/head setups like the ones I use (mine weighs over 100 pounds with rack head installed on top of the cabinet) . rollback. Quality appears to be very good, except for unsealed bearings (see below). The plate mount is nice as it minimizes holes and breakage in your case. Finally Cons: The wheel diameter is probably too small for everything but the small/medium combo amps, and the wheels looked a bit clunky. r 2" when I opened the package (or at least less than I expected). You might as well carry your little combos. Also, the little wheels perform well on smooth surfaces, but don't expect great performance on carpet or when negotiating small ledges or bumps (like doorsteps or cables/cords on stage) Also, the castor bearings are not sealed (I'm not sure about wheel bearings) so dirt and dust can affect performance over time Job good but I would only recommend it For small amps/cabs For $20 it was a decent buy and as I don't move my gear often I'm happy with the roles However if you have a medium to large sized amp and can find other reels with 3" or 3.5" wheels for around $5 each, this is the route you should take.
