Not the great chair I considered after purchasing it.

Addendum to my review: After using this chair for a year it started to pop and rattle when my husband rolled over and leaned on it. After emailing Office Star Products and confirming that it was still under warranty, they decided it was the base plate and seat base. These items were sent to me and unfortunately were not a solution to the noise problem. After attempting to remove the hydraulic cylinder and the loose ball bearings and rubber washer that had fallen out, a second call for help was made and a package of hardware was sent in place of the cylinders. Another call was made and eventually the cylinder was sent. So now I have a new seat cushion, base plate, hardware kit and cylinder, but part of the cylinder is stuck in the wheel/leg part. I called again and the wheel mount part was sent with instructions to simply remove the rollers and put them in the new part. Good thing those wheels don't pop out. They couldn't get three grown, mechanically inclined men out. So I placed my last order for new rolls and they were shipped. So now I have an almost new chair, but it was taken. You are almost 3 months old to find out. What a disappointment! When assembling the chair, we find that the new seat cushion does not fit, even though the part number is correct. None of the threaded holes matched. NOBODY! Then we also find that the hardware kit they sent is also not correct as none of the numbers match and there are not enough screws. In the end we need to use the old seat cushion, which is still in perfect condition, and the new base plate, cylinder, wheels and legs to make a solid, functional chair. While their customer service is decent and people seem willing to help, their troubleshooting ability is below par. I sat next to a brand new chair, even though one was made out of the wrong parts. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this chair. With a two-year warranty, it's not worth the hassle. Do a little research and spend a little more for the best chair. Incredibly disappointed and unimpressed with Office Star products! Wow! just wow. I bought this chair for my husband as a Christmas present. He works from home and his old chair broke and made an awful grinding noise. It's time to replace it and the feedback on this chair has been very positive. I wasn't expecting the package to be that heavy but after packing it I could tell it's very well made and strong. It was a little tricky attaching the back to the base and aligning the arm screws, but if you tweak a bit everything will go smoothly. It took us two to put it together, but the instructions were clear and to the point, and we put it together in under 30 minutes. Material - vinyl with perforated skin. The color, despite being called brown espresso, is very dark and looks quite professional. The padding on the seat and back is supportive and very comfortable. We were able to adjust the height and tilt features without too much hassle. So far he likes it and is very happy that he has a comfortable, quiet chair. One thing I would recommend is that after you have attached the seat and backrest with screws and tried to attach the armrests, you may need to loosen the screws below and shorten or lengthen the distance between the holes if the holes the seat and back are not aligned. Once we figured that out, everything lined up and assembly was a breeze. Highly recommended!
