Review on 🔩 LOCTITE 242 Threadlocker for Automotive: High-Temperature, Medium-Strength, Anaerobic Formula, Blue Color, 6mL Tube (Part Number: 37418 - 487229) by Mark Marcellus

I started using Loctite products over 45 years ago and have found how well they work on assembling aluminum parts for appliances. Now I use it on my shotguns when I'm building them to keep parts from coming loose from shock and vibration. I just put together a new AR15 build and used it as accessories for all the guns. I installed a new Magpul MIAD pistol grip, a Magpul vertical rail grip, a tactical light, a set of Magpul MBUS front and rear sights, a Vortex 3X folding sight, and a Daniels Defense Omega Free Floating Quad Rail. All screws and hex screws were coated with Loctite during assembly. I even applied it to the Aimpoint Pro red dot sight mounting screws. I like the blue Loctite as it helps hold the screws in place more securely and prevents corrosion which is important on a rifle or pistol. The blue connection locks the parts, but you can still take the weapon apart if needed. I do not recommend using red Loctite when assembling the gun as it is very difficult to take apart as it has much more holding power. This is a great product with a proven track record of working in harsh environments. I rated it 5 stars and recommend it to you.
