It works, my old remote just like that and burned out after 3 years.
Works perfectly. The purchase saved me from calling the handyman. I bought this to replace an identical fan remote I bought from Home Depot. If the green light doesn't come on when you press the button, it means the remote control is burned out. Just open it up, make sure the battery is good, and set the switches to the same position as your old remote. Worth buying.
