First let me say that the camera works but unfortunately the resolution is nowhere near "HD" or 1080, nowhere near 720. In fact the resolution is worse than the 640x480 backup camera, I replaced them with these. Another issue is that this camera has backup lines (which are wrong) across the video stream that you can't turn off (my radio has adjustable backup lines). Most other backup cameras I've seen have a wire that can be cut to disable the lines, but this one doesn't seem to have that option. If he has the option to disable the lines, they aren't listed in the very minimal instructions that came with the camera (literally business card sized paper, the only instructions included are one-page).
