Great for coordination and fun
Bought for my 20 month old grandson and he loves it! He brings it to me so I can play along. He likes to string pieces together on a thread and name colors or shapes. We're working on numbers. I wish there was a stopper on one end so he could rock it on the floor once all the pieces are in place, but a safety latch in the middle is a great idea. The flower piece can be rotated to make rattles and the caterpillar makes squeaky noises, but it's not strong enough so I have to pinch it to make it squeak.
