Review on πŸ”₯ Begatter Roasting Sticks: Telescoping Smores & Hot Dog Forks for Campfire, Fire Pit – Heavy Duty Chrome Plated Steel, 4PCS with Portable Bag by Tanya Samuel

Poor craftsmanship is best in outdoor cooking tools and supplies

Bought these for a hike. The "leather" cord at the end of the handle came loose in a quick hand wash before use. Thinking maybe it was an accident, I gently tugged at another piece, which also fell apart like soft toffee. If you hang them with string, you should replace them with a stronger material or a stainless steel ring. The last thing you want is for one of those forks to fall off and hit your leg. The wooden handles are poorly finished and appear to be moldy. Definitely worse than in my photo. It is better to clean and stick them with something. The chrome plating is missing in places and has a very rough texture. Not enough (or maybe even any) finishing before sheathing. There are also small patches of rust where I believe they were hung while coating. 3 out of 4 forks loosen when unfolded, but one is still stable. Because the steerer tube is made up of two wires next to each other, it's difficult to clean anything that gets in between. If this turns out not to be the case, I will update my review. They seemed like the best option for traditional forks, but I'm disappointed. It's too expensive for such poor quality.
