The 24" Macklenburg-Duncan SmartTool is the fastest, most accurate method of measuring grade and cross slope of ramps, sidewalks and parking lots per the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA ) One of the Big improvements over the old SmartLevel tool is that the calibration function is much easier and faster. Since it takes less than a minute, I can ensure maximum accuracy by recalibrating the SmartTool at the beginning of each shot. I also really like the hold function , which allows you to freeze a measurement and then grab the instrument to take a measurement. If you do a lot of ADA studies, this tool pays for itself quickly.
