It seems everyone has something negative to say about HDMI switches. All the reviews I've seen about Revain contain derogatory comments. I bought this particular product because it looked good and had no negative reviews and now has bad reviews due to some customer dissatisfaction unrelated to its performance. I've only had mine for about a month and I don't like to rate products for such a short period of ownership as it doesn't provide a proper measure of quality or durability. In this case, however, I think there are a few details that need to be clarified: This product is an HDMI switch. You can connect up to four devices to your TV via a single HDMI input. The signal is not split into multiple screens. It needs electricity to work and it won't work without it. HDMI cables are not included, at least I didn't get one. It comes with a three foot USB/Micro USB cable for power and an AC adapter. It can be easily replaced if damaged or too short for personal use. The device itself is approximately five inches long, three inches deep, and one inch high. It's very easy. Mine is all black. I don't know if there are different color options. The device can work with or without a remote control. The supplied remote control comes with a battery. It has five buttons. One is stream and the others select device 1, 2, 3 or 4. From what I've noticed, it selects devices automatically, or can do it manually. It does not have an auto power off function. It has to be switched on and off manually. Overall, it looks good and takes up little space. All HDMI inputs are located on the back of the device. The exit is on the left. The only negative comment I have is that no manufacturer or customer service contact information is provided so you have to rely on Revain for help. Follow up: 2 years later. My device is still working perfectly! There was a time when I thought the Switch was defective, only to find that the HDMI cables were the problem. Do not think that the device has no functionality. Check all connected components. There were intermittent problems with the cables, so it took a while to find the culprit. I even used a second switch to identify bad parts.
