I bought this to replace an Insteon hub and an old PC with HouseLinc software. I have over 100 Insteon devices and have found HouseLinc's limitations getting in the way. And while the Insteon Hub works nicely and simply, it doesn't support some of the timings I need, like: B. Turning off the device 20 minutes after activating the manual switch. I kept the hub running and now the ISY994i is doing the hard work. I found it easy enough to program, but it took me a while to learn how to get it all working. There are still quite a few odd behaviors that I need to iron out. Little did I know that the help system was mostly written about 8 years ago and that there are gaps in what I can find to solve problems. I'm generally happy with what I have, but I'll continue to use the Hub app for a few things it does well, such as: Insteon. .
